I decided to give it a try. I only tried 2 games so far for a very short time.
L4D2 seemed to actually get a 5-10 fps boost.
Alienswarm maybe a little, not sure. I think in a swarm I would keep my min fps higher.

I've been using it on my dell xps forever and even if it is just a placebo (I think there is a better frame rate so I imagine it into my minds reality), I prefer to have it on.

I did a fraps test with l4d2. At the begining I had 70ish, but when I enabled game booster I got 80ish...

This was of course not in any hoard, but I think it did feel smoother when there was a hoard. Never dropped below 30fps. Alien Swarm drops below all the time with a hoard.

Did a test with fraps on Borderlands and it gave me 5-7 fps boost, I use it all the time when I am gaming.

I just installed it after seeing this thread.

I defragmented my SC2 folder with Game Booster, System Tweaks > Top Performance, and Gaming Mode: ON.

EDIT: I feel like I gained around a few frames.

Seems like a decent deal offers to shut down some unnecessary operations and keeps the system running optimally while gaming..

I tried it and noticed no difference on the most CPU intensive game I have (BFBC2). I will have to try it on something like LD42 to see if it improves that.

No difference in min/max/avg fps in Dawn of War 2 on high or ultra settings, using internal benchmarking tool. This is using the demo version of GameBooster.

I had time to test Alien Swarm again this morning. When there is a large hoard with out gamebooster it will drop below 20 and have random lag spikes in other areas. With it, It usually stays 20 or above and I don't have the lag spikes.

Also in the Nvidia control panel there is a setting called "Max pre-rendered frames".
I think I'm reading it right by raising the # more work load will go to gpu so that less is on the cpu? Or am I wrong? Can someone clear that up?

    Other way around, actually :p

Pre-rendered frames are frames prepared by the CPU before being rendered by the GPU, so increasing that number will increase the amount of work done by your CPU. Most people leave it around 1-3. Anything higher than that apparently causes noticeable input lag (delay between keyboard/mouse action and their effect on the game), but people also say 0 can hurt performance.
