Will all of them break down? I have one on order, I can still cancel it and I need to know if they all will break down.

About 70% of them have hinge issues (according to the polls). This of course doesn't mean that 70% of them will break. Just that 70% of the screens are touching the keyboard.

How to determine that the screen is touched with the Keyboard? I tried put an A4 paper between them and close the m11x. I found that i was unable to pull the paper out though :\

I received my M11x after a week of Starcraft 2 official release and so far so good. Just that the LED near the Speaker got a weird problem which doesn't exist anymore right now *touch wood*

Well I've read all these horrible stories about hinges and that but to me I don't see how the screen touching the keyboard is that much of a problem, all I would do is wipe with microfiber cloth if anything got on it unless it was a scratch obviously but according to many people the screen doesn't seem to scratch in contact with the keyboard. As long as the hinge doesn't actually snap off and the screen falls off it'd be fine.

    No!

5¾ months ownership and my M11xR1 SU7300 is fine.
    Over-Clocks, both CPU and GPU. (6983 3DMarks in 3DMark06)
    No overheating or fan problems.
Dual monitor support. (Currently two 24" IPS Full-HD)
    Audio over DisplayPort.
    11.25" physical width.
    Supports Virtual Machine.
    5 hours plus battery life.
    Analogue 5.1 audio.

Now listening to http:// 85.25.130.71:9010 internet radio via a 7.1 surround sound system and coding PHP, life couldn't be better. ;)

Mine is only a couple weeks old but there's no issues. The LEDs are aligned under the keyboard, the alien head is 100% lit; I'm just hoping it'll be like my other laptop which broke after 4 years. Still works fine though as I have some duct tape holding the hinge together.

It cannot be stressed enough that the poll here is not in any way a true reflection of how prevalent either the keys touching the screen or the hinge issues are for the M11x.

My R2 is almost 2 months old and it's performing fine. Although I think the Dell technician damaged the hinges when he came to fix my laptop (He lifted my laptop holding the screen only... Now the gaps between the screen and the body are uneven). And a quarter of my Alienhead doesn't light up.

What a freaking moron! (The tech, not you)

Was the alien head on the lid having that problem before the tech replaced/fixed whatever? Either way, if it's me I'd call Dell to arrange to have that fixed.
