Hey, Just got my m11x the other day (r2).
Has anyone tried to play the new deus ex on it? After the launcher I get the following error "Failed to initialize Direct3D with current settings". Does this happen to anyone else ?
In the launcher you can select the graphics card, when "Intel HD Graphics" is selected the game boots up fine.. but doesn't work when the 335M is selected.

Froogle has posted up a youtube video of it running quite well, here's the thread for it
There's a few Deus Ex threads floating around, could be worth asking in them -
update your nvidia drivers?
-
Here's what you should do in this order:
Update your Video driver. Here: NVIDIA DRIVERS 275.33 WHQL. Make sure it is a clean installation. Click advance install and then check the box.
and make sure your Direct X is up to date. Here: Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime
Lastly if none of that works,
Go to your start menu, then on the search bar enter dxdiag into the text box. You should see a window with tabs. Go to the display tab and check if you direct3d is enabled. Then test if it works. If it doesn't, you should receive a message saying how to fix it. If it does work, then I have no idea. -
Don't forget to whitelist it as well. If you have the executable whitelisted and set to run with the Nvidia chipset, you shouldn't have any problems unless your video drivers got corrupted.
Game runs perfectly here on both the R2 and R3. -
