I placed my order yesterday and the sales guy assured me that no sales are going to come up anytime soon. Early morning I get a 15% off coupon which got me really mad. That's about $200 I could have save. I called customer service and they said they can't do anything since the order was already submitted.

Has anyone delt with this? I would think that they could just give me some credit towards something else. Any Ideas?

I don't have any advice but can you share the code?

You can cancel the order then submit a new one with the code.

Morgue put it right, just cancel the order, they wont charge you unless the machine went into production.

Once you get the email of cancellation of the order, place another one with the discount applied. Remember, salespeople are only there to get you to pull the trigger... nothing else.

Just curious, was that an emailed code from Dell? I signed up a while back and didn't get anything.....still in the market here since I had to send my refurb back the first time. That one had the 25% code.

You can't exchange refurbs or return them and order another for the same price? That doesn't make any sense...

You have 21 days to return the unit (21 days from date of purchase) I have had to do this 2 times very recently. They don't like it but it is your right. They "tried" to make an exchange with me twice (defective units) however they somehow forgot to do it both times....there is a mechanism for them to exchange but I don't have much faith in it.

You also have the right to talk with your credit card to tell them the issues and refuse the charge if they try to prevent you from doing this, but I don't see why it would need to come to this.

After 21 days you can return it but I believe you pay the shipping ans a re-stocking fee (15% I believe).

If it is all that bad try talking to customer service about the issues and they might offer to do something for you. Be assertive but polite, and perhaps call a couple of times. They often will find a way to accommodate you, but with Dell outlet the chances are slimmer. Make sure it is order support and not tech support or some other unit.

If you really don't want to return it then there is no incentive for them to try and make this right with you.
