Just reformatted my M11x. Tried to connect to wireless router with the DW1520 card installed. The wifi won't allow me to connect to my router which is WPA-PSK passworded. It was fine before reformatting. Never seen this happen before. It connects fine if I remove password protection from the router. Just won't give me the option to put in network key.

    Anyone else experienced this?

Thx unreal25. I don't know why the wireless card is acting like this. I had to remove WPA and set unsecured using MAC address filter as my firewall. Other laptops brings up the enter network key option. DW1520 card in win7 won't do it.

    Hi SXW88,

I'm running into the same problem, saw this post from you a few months back and wondering if you ever managed to get it resolved. Ive tried several drivers and the funny thinkg is that I have my laptop dual booting with Ubuntu and Ubuntu has no problem connecting but windows keeps giving me an error every time I tried.

Here's hoping you have a solution!! Thx!

Never really had issues with the card, but I chose to invest 17 $ into Intel Centrino Advanced N 6200 Card. 1 for 1 swap with no issues. =)

    Solved my issue...

    Problem:
at hotel provided wifi would not let me connect. Direct connect with cable was fine.
other AP's in town were fine
unable to access config screen for AP in room to confirm/change config

    Tried:
    Different adapter settings
Every security setting & tick box
    AP reset (power cycle)
The other NIC driver on Dell support for M11x

    Discovered:
Confirming IP config while connected to LAN port, I set my wiress IP info to similar range and it WORKED. Was able to access internet.

Later, I used an external AP and set back to defaults... no problem. Return to room and was able to connect to AP without having to use static settings.

    Odd.
