Hello, In the Dota 2 beta and it's a very slick game with the exception of one issue...

No matter what graphics setting I choose I can't seem to get any more than 32fps, it's very strange!

The highest graphics settings slow down to a crawl if there's a huge fight going on but then so does the lowest settings, it's all really rather strange. I've whitelisted the game and made sure that the Nvidia GPU is getting the required power but it's still not working correctly.

Anybody here had any similar issues?

My r3 has 6GB of ram and an i5 2467. Having watched other youtube clips of laptops with similar or lesser processors reaching 60fps or more with similar graphics chips I'm not convinced that it's the processor letting me down either. All background tasks have been deactivated too, I'm pretty stumped!

    Any suggestions anyone? :p

You have to remember that it is a 'BETA' therefore performance is not guaranteed on all cards. The best thing to do is to update the NVIDIA drivers to the latest BETA or stable WHQL.

That sounds like vsync might be on since you are being limited to about 30fps. Try forcing vsync off in the nvidia control panel settings.

For anyone else using an optimus card and having trouble...

    I've found a temporary fix!
Simply add -nod3d9ex to the launch options, I got around a 15fps boost and the game is playable again, let the good times roll!
