Anyone managed to get Crysis 2 playing well on stock on the R2?

The actual evidence strongly disagrees with you.

M11xR1 and Crysis 1.0 on medium in DX9 mode with a twist of GPU over-clocking and it's fine.

Mostly use the 40" HD Sony LCD TV or a 24" Full-HD monitor.
Then this one time, this one time, I used a 50" Full-HD plasma on medium in DX10.1 mode. Very big. Very Smart.

Crysis 1.0 was never going to play on high setting on an M11x so why bang on about it.

Crysis 2.0 should be very playable on a M11xR2 with moderate screen resolution and moderate settings and probably just as playable on an M11xR1. :D

Check the previous Crysis Demo thread and all the other Crysis threads for details. Same game.

Just a minute, I'll create a thread for that.

The original crysis was a poorly scripted game, however it still runs well on the m11x.

As for Crysis 2, its just a console port (such great devs these days >>) so expect it to run fairly well, as it is designed for hardware made 6 years ago (xbox and ps3).

the demo ran well though that was only multiplayer which feels less intensive than the single player and i know that's gonna stress the m11x.

MP is usually more intensive. SP is easily pre-rendered. For example Highest settings in BC2 but have to turn down to Medium for MP. Even though Crytek and Frostbite are different its same concept.

It really does depend on the game. If there's a ton of AI going on in in the background you can pretty much expect single player to be more taxing.

Game works flawlessly for me, stock R2 with no OC'ing of any kind. I'm uploading another video shortly, similar to my Homefront demonstration.

    Crysis 2 M11xR2 Gameplay Video

Video is uploaded, game currently running at "high" settings, which looks and runs exceptionally well.
