Since the first is such a popular game, I wanted to get this one started with the first post I found in the steam forums. Someone in another thread stated the m11x would be lucky to get in the single digits in this game (FPS). Happy to report the designers said that crysis 2 will have LOWER pc requirements than the first.
From the Crysis 2 team
As stated in multiple official statements, the requirements for Crysis 2 will be lower than Crysis 1.
If you can run Crysis 1, you should easily be able to run Crysis 2.

Not to mention the engine for the first Crysis was rushed, and the team learned what mistakes not to make again. I didn't really care for the first game, although it was beautiful, I found the gameplay lacking. I like the more urban setting in the second one though and I'll definitely be picking it up and running tests on all of my systems!

So does that mean we will be actually able to get good FPS in HIGH in native rez?

This is pretty awesome news. Crysis runs about 25-30 FPS on mostly Medium/Low settings on the R1 so hopefully I'll be able to squeeze out a bit more on Crysis 2.

@All - Start Crysis warhead and set your setting to medium or high (upon your liking).. exit crysis.
create a system.cfg in the documents\mygames\crysis warhead folder and the \electronic arts\crytek\crysis warhead folder
add these lines to the system.cfg and save.
e_water_ocean_fft=1
q_Renderer=3
r_UsePOM=1
r_sunshafts=1
r_colorgrading=1
r_UseEdgeAA=0
con_restricted=0
sys_budget_videomem = 1024
r_TexturesStreaming=0
save.
Start crysis again. Notice your post processing, shaders and water will show custom. now play and see if you notice a difference.
Best wishes, StevenX
(and yes I know about the hundreds of custom config files. This is just a quick one that takes a few minutes and add performance and great looks.) -

Crysis was fun hopefully the second one is just as good while being less strenuous on the computer.
