Hey, I ran it with FRAPS, on gamer settings, vsync off, full res, and got around 25-30 FPS. Dropped to 21 once, and went up to 37 when I was standing in a corner and texting. :D
SU7300 @ 1.7, 2gb RAM, no GPU overclock, gamebooster on

Honestly, I have no idea which settings are the lowest. The graphics settings are annoying. Advanced, hardcore, and gamer all sound like high/ultra to me. :\
    Anyone know?

ETA: Gamer = low, advanced = mid, hardcore = high
Wish Crytek woulda just said that.... lol

Runs flawlessly on the R2 on gamer settings. Very impressed! Love it. I will try to tear myself away and DL it on my R1 and see how it compares.

First take on R1 is decent. Could look better and just might by release. Fairly fast, fun gameplay. Enjoyable. Worth $60?? Dunno yet. Probably

Need an ini / settings file or something to tweak. Didn't find one yet. In game visual options suck at this point

ah game is the lowest settings XD am sure we can play Hardcore if we can turn of Shadows and somethings that are not useful for us ? XD but sadly we cant play with the graphics settings ;p but like i said if u go to option and to game u can cancel the blur for better game play i think ?;p

Ok... I just got an M11x R2 i7 the other day, and I'm at a loss for what I need to do with it in order to make it run this.

I've over clocked the processor to the ighest setting available, and I've downloaded the most recent driver for the GPU. What am I doing that isn't allowing my comp to run this, or even the Dragon Age II demos?

    Please help me.

No, go to your Nvidia Control Panel and add the game you want to play so optimus can turn on your discrete graphics card when you play it.

Very playable on my 42" set at 1920X1080 HDMI. CPU maxed at 77 and GPU at 65 been playing for over an hour. When I launched the demo it did say that the graphics was not supported but continued and worked fine. Not sure what my frame rates are but I didn't notice any lag. Only tweak I got is throttle stop and overclocked to 167. :D

for any r2 users that are still confused, in my case i had to add "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\crysis 2 - demo\crysis2demo.exe" through the nvidia control panel and set it to the nvidia gpu. took me a bit to find its location.

It ran well on my m11x r2 on gamer settings. Still, I expected better graphics from you know...CRYSIS 2...even on my desktop on max graphics its not really very impressive. Thats what you get for developing for lame and outdated consoles...

Im getting this thing that says my email is in use everytime I enter one (but I just made a few fresh emails that could not have possibly been used ever)... Kinda stupid they release a PUBLIC demo but require a login... and ontop of that cant handle the server load... imo the release will be just as floaded if not worse... same stuff happened on halo reach release day and black ops... these companies dont care about the consumer just the $

Anyone having trouble with opitmus with the demo? I have the newest dell drivers.

The game will not start with the nvidia card no matter what I try. I can not add it to the whitelist not will it work when I right click on it and click "run with nvidia graphics".

The only way I could play it is if I set my default/primary graphics card to the nvidia instead of the intel.

I had the same trouble. 1st try it told me the username was taken. Then it would tell me the email was used. Like it saved the email without letting me register because of the username on the 1st try. Then forced me to use a different email thereafter. I think its a bug in their server logic

I played it without an OC and probably got 25-40fps depending on the situation. I'll turn down shadows when the game is released, I guess.

On the other hand, hit detection's quite good; I dunno why people complain about it. I guess it's because my ping's always around 40, so enemies die pretty fast...

Hit Detection is horrible. Couldn't tell you how many times ive rounded a corner laid into someone HEAD and they look up and fire and BLAM.. their fine.. im dead. Could be latency but I dont think so... It's happened too often. StevenX

Not really. On gamer mode it does look pretty good, considering what kind of hardware it can run on (like the m11x, its pretty fast on it) so it scales well. Compared to crysis though, on a truly powerful computer, at hardcore settings, the graphics really arent all that much better, nothing like what we have been led to expect. I like the multiplayer gameplay and I bet the game will be great, perhaps they will even make the graphics better for the final product, but at this point, the graphics are nothing as good as what they should be.

Well... I'm in the Philippines and the servers I play in are in Malaysia. My ping registers as 40 while everyone else in Asia has about 200. It's funny how the bad guys take a second to recognize me. :D

StevenX, what frames are you getting on your M15x? I wonder if the performance for us M11x people is still slightly capped due to drivers, and if we could do even better.

@First -- Gamer and Advanced I get 50-70 fps most of the time. It does dip into the 30s and 40s when a level first loads up. After that it's stable and smooth. (That's with 2xAA and AF) Thanks, StevenX

I am surprised no one else is getting the login issue that a ton of folks on Steam seem to be having. I tired my account says invalid characters... then I renamed my gamespy acount to have no numbers... still invalid. ? Uninstall, little demo video made the game look quite cool too. CryTek juts lost a customer and I lost about 2 hours of my life reading all the posts on steam about the issue, between last night and this one.

yeah, just downloaded on my R1, RUNS LIKE A BEAST, kinda like the free running style of the game.

maybe some indication of how BF3 will run?

BF3 uses a completely different engine. But yeah, Frostbite 1.5 was generally much more efficient than CryEngine 2, so maybe it'll be the same for Frostbite 2.0 and CryEngine 3.

Hopefully this foreshadows that the M11x could still handle big things in the near future.

Ummm, am I the only one not getting "awesome" performance with my m11x? I have an i7 R2, the game is definitely playable but it's not smooth enough to enjoy fast paced multiplayer action. I play on gamer settings, m11x is connected to 4:3 desktop monitor running at 1280x1024, using Nvidia 266.58 drivers, not using any tweaks for either game or laptop... any ideas?
Also, how do I turn ambient occlusion off?
