Anyone have one of these in their M11x R3? Any thoughts/input on its performance? Comparisons to the M4 (specifically the 128GB)?

I know there's been a few threads about this before, but not recently, and i know firmware updates make a big difference.

    Long story short:
    It's a nice drive.

Performance-wise, you're not going to notice any difference between a Crucial C300, or any other current-generation drive from another manufacturer. Once you get to a "good enough" performance level, then the real-world performance of different SSDs are abotu the same.

its just the boot/shut down times that might be different by a fraction of a second. My ssd is massive improvement over the HDD, but i doubt other than internal copy/paste and extracting archived files by few mb/s you wont see much difference.

Sadly Game loading times weren't as drastically improved...

I have it in mine and i love it, best SSD i've every had (not that i've had many...) In my R3 it made some weird feedback noise through the speakers, however the most recent firmware update fixed this and now it is flawless, its (really) quick and reliable, never had a problem.

From what I can see in ssd tests, this is still a top of the line hard drive eventhough it's an older generation.
I wish I could have a feel of this myself :)

I would recommed the M4, a little faster and newer, although the c300 is also a great option. I ran this today with no optimization on a stock installation. (last one is 130)

you're not playing the right game then :)

For a mmo addict a ssd is like god's gift.
For example loading times at zoning/porting etc improved a lot for me.
