So playing deus ex today I was getting around 40 fps with settings med-high which is great at 720p. I was curious so I kept cpu-z open on my m11x while i gamed on my TV.

I was wondering why my more core speed was maxing at 2.2ghz when this i7 can turbo up to 2.6. This game is very cpu heavy and I know the fps would be more stable if it would stay at that higher clock speed. Anyone know why it wouldn't max out, and a way to keep it maxed out while I play?

Well if you didnt know here is the answer. When you read the advertized max 2.6ghz that is what turbomode clocks up to if using a single core. You will not reach 2.6ghz on both cores.
