Well, I have heard that these are good:
    Xpad
They charge em at 25 bucks a piece and they are a universal fit.

i got the targus chill mat. it has two 80 mm fans (i think thats the size) and it lowered my maximum cpu and gpu temp by about 7 degrees celsius, the idle temperature only dropped by about 2 or 3 degrees celsius.

As a portable alternative, though I have never tried one and have no idea if it would work on the M11x.. It seems to work by sucking more air through the laptop, but if that M11x already has a decent fan I don't think it would add much. Pads seem better as they cool the whole of the base/vents.

I just ordered this cooling mat yesterday, and I will make a new post when I get it and use it for a while. It is for those who like to use the m11x in their lap, because the exhaust from the fan in right in the middle, and you put your legs on the sides of the fan. I hope that makes sense.

My targus chill pad came today and the results are nice so far. My 335m is now idling at 44-48 c. I was able to play PCSX2 emu for three hours with the card overclocked without it going over 59 degrees(average of about 55 throughout), in comparison when I usually play the PCSX2 emu I usually max out at 68 degrees and average around 62. Powermizer is off during all of this as well.

None of these numbers are exact, I kept my gpu watcher open throughout and checked back every 10 mins or so.

Seems like the NC-1000's dimensions are perfect for the M11x too.

Yeah, the targus chill mat may be expensive (40$) but it is really a great quality product. The fans aren't noisy at all and it offers a great cooling for the lappy.

I Purchased the "cooler master U2" from tiger direct and will receive it in a couple days. It has 2 fans which the user can move to custom fit their laptop. I have also thought of purchasing an additional "U1" model that is made for net-books and has a single fan, maybe even putting all three fans on one of the units because i use a AC-Usb adapter at 6v.

    Any thoughts?

I picked up this Rosewill minifit XL cooling pad from Newegg when it was on sale for $17 with free shipping. The price jumped back up but it fits the M11x nicely with only a half inch sticking out around it. The fan is whisper silent but does not push much air. I don't even use the fan, I just wanted something to keep it off my lap and let the system fan do its job. I normally just use it upside down with out the legs, to keep it small. It barely adds any size so you can fit it right in your bag with the laptop.

That looks like a good setup, congrats on finding it that cheap. I have seen aluminium stands without a fan for much more than you paid.

I got the Gigabyte G-Pad Pro. Here's a review of it. It fits the M11x pretty well. About half an inch on each side and about a quarter top and bottom over. It's nice and simple. Real portable since it folds in half.

Just to follow up on my purchase of the cooler master u2, i LOVE it! i played bad company 2 for about an hour online and had the two fans blowing on the left and right of the mouse pad(this is where mine seems to get the hottest while gaming) and the bottom was cool to the touch afterwards. Usually it is really hot, so i give it a 9/10. The aluminium sticks out about an inch on both sides but i don't mind that at all. It makes it easier to pick up and move.

I have the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad and the Targus Chill Mat. Both of which I found at my local walmart for about 20 bucks a piece. I find the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad to work much better than the Targus Chill Mat, providing both active and passing cooling under the laptop. However the Targus Chill Mat provides a direct active cooling with its two fans. It works but not as well. The two fans are fairly weak, however are much quieter than the ONE fan on the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad. I prefer to use the Belkin Laptop cooling pad regardless of the noise it makes because most of the time I have my headphones on anyways. But if noise is really a problem I wouldn't recommend the Belkin and getting something like the Targus or just look around for a more quieter cooler.

I've purchased a few for my various notebooks, including the Coolermaster NotePal X2

Currently, I'm obsessed with this one: Coolermaster - ErgoStand

Although it lacks the bling/lighting of the NotePal X2, the ErgoStand features more USB ports as well as being height adjustable (meaning I can raise the m11x's screen closer to eye level). Like the NotePal, the ErgoStand features a speed adjustable 140mm fan.

Having had my M11x for a few days here is a tip that cuts 4+ degrees of your temps.

The internal fan does a good job and the bottleneck is the gap under the laptop. So put a pencil (flat sided best) under the rear to lift it up a bit and it drops the temp by 4+ degrees when under stress.

I suspect most of the coolers that allow good airflow will do a much better job, and any fans will help with the rest of the laptop. I note the left hand palm rest gets warm while I game, and makes my left hand sweat.

I use my power cord, run across the back much like your pencil would be as a prop when gaming.
