For some reason I am connecting my USB 3.0 Flash Drive to one of the compatible ports (Super Speed)

and it says: "It can increase the transfer speed blah blah if connected to a Super Speed USB 3.0 port" BUT YOU ARE my little flash drive! You are connected! :( And I have the USB 3.0 Driver as well.

    Am I missing something?

Sorry bud. My Adata 32 gig connects just fine. The one on the left is USB 2.0, while the two on the right are 3.0, which I'm sure you already know, but it never hurts to check. The Super Speed detects properly in other USB 3.0 computers you've plugged it into?

Yes, I checked with my mom's laptop which has USB 3.0 support. It copies a file at 8mb/s

On my computer I always plug it in to the right and it states "This Item can Perform Faster" if I plug it into a 3.0 port which it is and it only copies at a half mb/s. :/ Any thoughts?

    Try these things:

    1: Power drain
2: Check the intel chipset drivers
3: Check Alien-Fusion for options thay may be disabled.

    Thanks.

1: How do I do that?
2: Ill revert to dell drivers just incase they are compatible.
    3: Didn't work :/

1: I did a power drain for a minute with AC and battery unplugged.
2: Tried updated and dell drivers.
    3: Same as above.

None of these suggestions worked. Anything else?

Do other 3.0 devices work correctly in the port?

Bump. Any thoughts? I'd hate to imagine Dell would give me another faulty pieces considering it is a replacement for 5 faulty parts.

The thing is the drivers install and the USB slot works. Just can't figure out why it's not making use of the super speed (aka USB 3.0)

I dread getting on the phone with them now their customer service is a disaster.

Compatibility issues can still exist. Im not convinced you have a large issue here unless other 3.0 devices fail to detect properly.

But the weird part I find is that the USB 3.0 device is detected but told to plug into a 3.0 socket. Mmm maybe I'll find someone with a different device once I move in today. We shall see.

    Thanks for all the advice.

Yeah I've had the "could be faster if" message for 2.0. Maybe something similar here
