As above. After I upgraded the Nvidia drivers to the latest version, I get this message on the LCD TV when I plug in the HDMI cable. No such problem via VGA port or when I was using the previous driver.

Mine is a Samsung 720P HD Ready LCD TV. Have changed the resolution on the M11x to the resolution of the TV but still showing error message. Pls help. Thanks.

Right-click desktop, click 'Screen Resolution' and change it to 1280x720.

Check to make sure your refresh rate is set appropriately. Most likely 60Hz.

Hmm... If it were me I'd start fresh. Uninstall video driver s. Reboot to safe mode and clean with Drive Sweeper. Reinstall drivers, reboot and test again.

Drive Sweeper is a utility that will remove all traces of certain types of drivers. In your case your video drivers.
