    i need help i recently repasted my thermal paste and put a bluetooth module on my i7 board and when i restarted my pc my time was off i went into bios and its not saving time i did remove the cmos battery what could be the problem? i put it back in sameway

    evreytime i set it up restart goes back to the same time witch is 1.04 am 4/22/2010 it really sux should i order a new one? and do u guys know where i could get one i have a m11xr2

    are you sure you put it back in the correct way?

    This is a long shot, but you do click save&exit? lol

    Also, if it was cmos battery, i don't think it would reset, as the laptop's battery is still in, thus you would need to remove the charger + laptop battery for it to restart without the battery on the motherboard

    im pretty sure i save it man after i put the right settings i hit enter enter then f10 correct? it starts close to the time but after i restart it completely it goes back to 4/22/10 1 am and its only 1 way to put the cmos bat on :[ arghhh cant find one to order one just to get the doubt out i ran the diagnosis test only thing didn't pass was the hardrive evreything else was good so i dont know whats going on here kinda mad in a way i put evreything right http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/Alw_M11xR2/en/SM/coinbatt.htm#wp1179886
    found the thing right here and people have posted on google having same issues but never where they get this thing

    whats the BIOS version? try reflashing them, or updating...

    Just exit & save settings from the tab that always works for me... not F10 or w/e... after when it exits and reboots enter setup again and see if it saved properly...

    i can't think of anything else that could help sorry.

    i have bios version ao4 i went to 03 still the same i went back put 04 same and i do save it restart go to bios saves but when i restart again it doesn't save its really bugging me google chrome doesn't work on out of date ughh!

    weird thing right now its set to a time but it stays on 12.45 am 12/21/2011 atleast its not 2010 anymore hmmmmmmmm mayby if i hadd 6 more days over in the bios it will be perfect date lol

    UPDATE: Its fixed i guess i needed to leave it on for a while to recharge it its fixed now thank god i thought my motherboard was done! ughhhhhh u guys have a cheap hardrive?
