I am looking for a cheap (bang for your buck) SSD. Again I have a M11xR2 (the older i7 640um edition). I am from Canada so if you could use a newegg.ca link it would be awesome thanks.

Also a possible RAM upgrade and any suggestions or users that would like to vouch for the product they currently have.

In my m11xR2 (and m17xR2as well) I'm using a samsung PM800 (it was the 1st gen SSD and I believe they OEM'd for Dell machines at that time as well). You should be able to get a deal on these since they are SATA II (3gb) and a few gens out of date - though plenty fast for the R2.

Pointless to spend $$$ on getting a SATA III drive unless you plan on selling your m11x soon and want to keep the new SSD for your new / next machine as well. In that case, buy a good SATA III - I'm having good luck with Crucial M4s and Samsung 830s. Good luck!
