    Can you use laptop speakers while using HDMI to connect to monitor?

    If my monitor has no speakers is there a way to just the alienware speakers while im using HDMI?

    yeah, you have to go into the settings and disable the nvidia sound, then it just plays with the computer speakers

    You should get a nice set of 5.1 external speakers to go with it. Thats how I do it at home. Plug in my 40 inch tv and my speakers, disable the nvidia sound and it then runs through the speaker jacks insted of the hdmi

    I got a dynex 24" TV from BB last week, connected with hdmi. worked well with the TV speakers. more table real estate as well.
