So, after repasting the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU for the first time I ran into multiple problems. It started with me breaking off a transistor/capacitor of a RAM chip which really aggravated me [had to grab a new set.... can no longer overclock at 166 :'( ] but ended with a power up that lead to a keyboard with a very faulty problem and the obvious CMOS errors. I simply replaced the keyboard which solved all the keyboard's problems (several keys not working, g constantly being pressed), but with a new CMOS battery (tested at +3.23v by the sender) I'm still seeing the CMOS problems.
The problems are that I sometimes start the computer with a frozen 'starting windows' screen and constant beeping, that a small text on the upper left starts before BIOS (might say a CMOS problem, it doesn't stay long enough to read), the obvious date/time always being reset (sometimes I'll come back to the computer with the date several years and hours in advance), and some icons on the notification tray being invisible/unselectable.
I've realized that all of these are CMOS problems and that the new battery should've (still can) fix them, but since I just received a battery already tested I'm not sure what to do. I should note that it was pretty difficult unplugging the CMOS to repaste, but that the only thing I might've done was pull on the battery's wires too hard (nothing on the mobo). I'm hoping that someone can identify this as a faulty battery, but if the mobo was messed up or the CMOS battery connector.... well I'd be screwed for a lot of money to replace it.
Any help would be appreciated. And once again, sorry for the long posts. I guess I'm too descriptive at times.

It seems more like a motherboard problem now. Sorry to hear you are having all those issues.
