Hi All, Just thought i would put a few words down about my experience with my M11x, Im a UK user, and i bought my M11x just over 14months ago, i bought the base spec model which had SU4100,2GB Ram, 250GB HHD, Win7 Pre.(£750 when first out) And to say its been great is an understatement, ive taken it everywhere work, holidays, used every day and never once had a issue, all ive done is routine cleaning (ie) blowing out the dust. I regularly play MW2, DOW, The Sabotuer and MTW2 with no problems on medium to high settings.Have just reinstalled Win7 as am giving it to my Daughter as her laptop has died!! And have order another M11x R1 of the Dell UK site, this time will SU7300,4GB Ram,500GB HHD,Bluetooth,Win7 Ultimate, (£500).
Ive had gaming laptops from when i first bought the Dell 9100 about 7 years ago, and of all the XPS/alienware laptops ive had the M11x is the most impressive, power to size, Anyone thinking about buying an M11x but not sure weather to spend the big bucks on an R2/R3 should consider a punt on an R1. As of the morning Dell uk still selling base spec R1 for £450.
I hope this has helped anyone considering buying an M11x.
    Nick :>

Agreed, great little machine. I decided to go for an ebay jobbie as the UK price is so high. Managed to get a mint i5 with 3 months warrenty left for £530. Very lucky indeed.

    I'm so impressed with it!

Your situation sounds similar to mine. Im going to hand my R2 down to my son any day now and upgrade to the R3. I've always wanted one of the Nebula Red Alienwares, so that's what I'll go for (and that way kiddo can't 'accidentally' confuse mine for his)

    It's a great machine, I admit.

Sometimes build quality and Dell support leaves me frustrated - but I am very happy with my little beast.

I am very happy with everything about the M11x except the hinge issue that was pretty frustrating. Other then that you cant beat this bang for your buck for portability and a backlit keyboard! Oh and if you like playing games you can do that too! I just use mine for portability taking it places and mostly for work.
