    Hello forum :)

So I've been proud user of m11x r2 and played succesfully lot of games in very good perfomrance (CPU@160 Hz, GPU: 500/1200/890 nvidia drv 266.58 ):
    DeadSpace2
    Starcraft2
    JustCause2
    WoW
    Sf4
    Fallout NV
    Mafia 2

next pick was Bullestorm. I downloaded it strait from Steam on premier day.

When I started I almost fainted cause graphic looked like from 1999 :( It was chopy, bad, full or texture errors, problems with shadows, poor AA.
No matter what I set the problem persited (even highest settings). So I started to google. Shortly I have found simmilar topics on official forums:

16bit colors and shadow issues. - Epic Games Forums
Bulletstorm graphic and performance errors and fixes (kind of) - Epic Games Forums
Bad character rendering. - Epic Games Forums

but also I found out that there are some pll who run that game successfullly on PC.
However despite all my tries I did not manage to solve the problem.

    So the question is:
Do you have such a problem?
    What is you Bulletstorm performance?
Did you manage to fix a problem (if u had one)?

    Thanks for all the answers!

Try the 260.99 video card drivers. The 266.58 drivers blow...

I would suggest enabling the feature in context menu 'Run with GFX card...'
Find the .exe and manual run it with the NVIDIA card. This works 100% of the time for me.
For steam the .exe's associated with games are usually located in '/steamapps/common' or '/steamapps/username/gamefolder'

I've only tried bulletstorm (and finished it already :D) on my desktop and it runs flawlessly. Havent tried on my laptop yet, but maybe you can mess with your settings? try bumping gpu clocks to stock as sometimes my 335m gives me horrible performance when i try to oc because of instability. Anyways good luck, its a good game.

MasivB --> I do that In case of every Steam games. I know the way, but in case of bulletstorm it does not help.
If I run on Integrated Card the game goes even worse.

I actualy wait for somebody who tried the game on m11x. Please give me your feedback.

    I tried this
    Bulletstorm INI Editor

but partialy solves problem but It force my to play with so many otpion of unreal engine its unbelievable.

    bUseMaxQualityMode = True

solve the grafic problem, but the game is unplayable due to 10FPS with everything set to MAX.

BTW: I just tried via steam DA2 demo and it runs flawless on current spec of mine, why the f... buletstorm does not :(

You should see it on the R1. The textures look terrible but I'm gonna play around with it more before I make a judgment.

TalonH --> this seems to be a game related bug. I have the same very low quality textures in game (year 1999 had better)
R1/R2 does not matter this is engine issue or driver or something else :(

    Looking forward to patch ...

Anyone played with options in the file provided by EPIC ??

It runs alright on my R1, high 20s and low 30s.
But seriously... I have textures on High, but it still looks like crap! I hope they release a patch soon, because this game looks more ugly than games almost 10 years old :p
I like kicking the mutants though :)

from what i have seen its a UT3 engine bug known as deffered rendering, mainly used for streaming textures, it seems the renderer/shaders cant cope and it puts a low res placeholder in, probally a bad peice of coding.

Weird, since most games with the Unreal engine run pretty well. Hopefully they will patch it...

So now that I've gotten some hours into it I will detail my findings.

First of all, resoultion on 1280x768. Was on native res but it caused weird lag spikes. Post process is at low but I honestly don't see a difference with it on medium or high. Texture, Shadow, and world detail is a medium. No Anti aliasing. Game looks like crap but honestly it's really fun to play. The dialogue is great and the skillshot thing is pretty neat. I guess just wait for a patch so the graphics don't look awful.

in case of bulletstorm, I can see there's a dramatical increase of frames rate when I change game's resolution from 1366x768 to 1024x768, everything are low... it's definitely unplayable with native res and lowest setting. I have no idea why the short range of resolution gives too much difference of performance.

Patch or not, the game just doesn't look like it's worth $60.

Now, in all fairness, I haven't played it yet. But from what I have seen on videos and game reviews, it looks like FPS-only-junkies would be better off buying Dead Space 2. And everyone else would probably be better off saving their $60 for the slew of awesome games coming out in the next few months.

Yes. I actually accidentally ran it with the Intel card and it was even worse. Took me a full minute to navigate out of the menu to quit the game. You'll get your monies worth out of Dead Space 2 rather than Bulletstorm.

im running it at 1024x768 and its running perfectly maxed out and frames are very high. but i have my gpu at 585/1300/920. and my cpu at 1.6ghz the game looks great and its extremely fun. it IS worth the 60 bucks

Does your gpu have issues with running the shaders linked to the GPU clock (at 2.4x)?

xaser04 i dont have the clocks linked, im using evga precision. and macmus nope the textures look how they should, except every once in awhile the background during gameplay goes black just for a split second then goes back, only happends rarely tho. and im using 266.58 and switched the graphics to dedicated in the bios

    ajslay --> the u have r1 right ?

I am starting to think this is soemthig related to C2D <---> i5/i7 series.

Cause on m11x r1 its running fine, but on m11xr2 there is a problem.

I was testing those with 266.58 persists.

yep i have the r1, if you look at the bulletstorm requirements you need a core 2 duo at 1.6ghz and thats exactly what the r1 has =)

R2, i5, discrete graphics. newest 2.66 drivers. 1080p. Everything high except shading which is medium and shadows which is low.

The game runs absolutely like butter, has to be over 60 fps, sorry for yall having problems.

Not to mention the game is really fun and a great diversion from the stuffy army games of the past few years.

this game runs phenomenal on my r1. everything maxed except shadows. and it feels over 60 fps. plus my high gpu overclock is probly boosting my fps about, 5-8 i think

Playting this on R2, the lighting of the character models in cutscenes was all weird, I wasnt sure if it was supposed to be like that. It looked like a character was walking under a pillar i.e. there is a bar of shadow going across them, except it kept happening constantly, even if they were standing still.

I was on Low shadows, everything else maxed.

switched to medium shadows and it still had the same thing in cutscenes

hi... well I've been playing for a few days and when i first ran it everything on high and native 1366 res i had some issues and some one suggested going down to 1360 and bam it worked fine... sadly though any time i play it more than an hour it starts to struggle a bit. normally i just run though one level then take a break anyway.... but i love the games sniper rifle fun
