fraps doesnt seem to work. were does print screen pics go to?
-
I'm not so sure if print screen actually saves a picture in a particular location, but you can open paint and paste the print screen there.

yea both IE and firefox do it. yes its the same this every time i visit any site. Its gotta be some sort of setting but i cannot find it. It just happened all of a sudden though i didn't change any settings pertaining to browsers. Everything else i use works fine app, games etc..
-
I suspect it looks like there may be a program/setting that is preventing css style codes of web pages not to be recognised..since all the pages seem to have their image background colors and images not displaying.....just a guess.

For Internet Explorer, Tools ---> Internet Options ---> Accessibility
See attached
I'm sure FireFox has a similar setting.Attached Files:

Cool Bat thanks ill check it out tonight when i get off work.
-
Get Google Chrome, is the one I use and I reccomend it . Or well try with Safari its cool too

Multiple browsers means this is going to be a singular root cause. What did you change right before this started? Application(s) installed? Driver change? OC? Registry cleaning?
-
its weird i didn't do anything setting wise for a while now. the last change was the dell driver & i just finished installing the newest set & having the same issue.
It was working fine for the longest time i ran virus scans just in case came out clean.
ill keep poking around some. -
Actually, Bat was closer than I thought. I bet this is it.
" Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Ease of Access Center\Make the computer easier to see"
There you will find " Remove background images (where available)" -
-
Have you got high contrast activated? It's in the ease of access centre in control panel - the default shortcut (if activated) is alt-left shift-print screen.
-
Did you try removing the alienware skin + program? Those stardock apps can have weird effects..
-
Have you tried shaking the laptop to see if the html background rendering chip has come loose? -
Looks to me like it's out of Aero glass and switched to classic . Alien guise was doing some weird crap on my M11X so I took it back off .
-
I am at work right now ill jump back on trying to figure it out tonight. -
man i googled my butt off cant find anything new to try to get this crap fixed. Aside from a fresh install with my external burner using the OS dvd i cant think of anything else. uhg what a pain.
-
Have you tried just rolling back windows a few days till before it started. Would be nice to know what caused it though.
-
-
-
I'd try disabling/uninstalling AlienGUIse and/or selecting one of the default windows desktop themes. It's fairly odd to be happening in both Firefox and IE - can't think of any other cause except for the high contrast settings/themes.
-
Were can i disable it? dont see it in any menu.
oh yea & i found that same link a while back, -
Start - Program - Dell - Mycolors. Or just uninstall it through add/remove programs.
-
well i have checked all the settings suggested none of which changed/fixed the issue,i even checked stuff i found through google etc... I just rebooted after a windows update & guess what its magically all better now. !! i mean i am glad it somehow fixed itself but i wish i knew what was causing it. If it happens again i am gonna punch something lol.
-
Just wanted to thank you guys for your assistance. Hopefully I never see that issue again hehe.
Browsers lost color background!!!
