    Hello,
I'm new to the forum and would like to take a doubt.
I have two alienware M11X with the following settings :

    1º Alienware M11X R1 :

    Processor Intel® Core™2 Duo SU7300 @ 1.73 GHz (3MB Cache)

    Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 1066 MHz

    Video Card 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 335M

Bluetooth Bluetooth Module, 2.1+ Enhanced Data Rate

    HD 500gb 7200rpm

    2º Alienware M11X R2 :

    Processor Core i5 - 520UM @ 166 FSB (3MB Cache)

    Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 1333 MHz

    Video Card 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 335M

Bluetooth Bluetooth Module, 2.1+ Enhanced Data Rate

    HD 500gb 7200rpm

To my surprise, the R2 introduces a delay in the boot of windows equal to the video below :

This also happens in R2 of you?

PS1 : In alienware m11x R1 the boot usually happens
PS2 : Sorry for my bad english.

    your video link didn't work.

I would suggest you download Soluto and install it to identify the differences in the boot sequence (if there are any) between the two machines.

Does the Alienware M11x R2 boot? Is it stable?

Yes? I wouldn't worry about it.

    Hello,
The problem happens only at boot the rest everything is ok even in games !
Another thing I noticed is that my alienware M11X only r2
recognizes 3.8 gb of memory as usable.
The R1 recognizes the 4 gb.
    Weird huh?

He's worried that there are some "pauses" during the boot phase.

Again, there is absolutely NOTHING to worry about. The reason there are pauses is because the computer is busy doing other stuff. If your computer is stable and works, then just move on.
