Bluetooth disappeared from my system tray a while back, and I can't seem to find it in my device manager either.
Installing this doesn't work, all it says is "Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch" and won't go anywhere else in the install.

is it enabled in bios? maybe you were messing around and turned it off by accident, or just turned it off and forgot?

    It is enabled in BIOS.
And I do have motioninjoy, going to driver manager and hitting rollback says "you must select at least one device."

Do you have wifi switched on?

On mine, I have to have wifi switched on for my bluetooth and my gobi cards to work.

not sure if yours is the same way.

My Bluetooth hasn't been working for like, 1 and a half years, exacting like your problem. My theory is that a Dell technician replaced my motherboard and he didn't put the Bluetooth card back in.
My warranty is gone. So I have given up hope.

EDIT: And I haven't tried reinstalling Windows.

That's probably it. It just bothers me that I can't reinstall the original drivers.
