    Hi guys,

I've been reading on the forums a lot before I bought this machine.

Lately my m11x keeps getting blue screens (third one today, starting today).
And I've read that some m11x got the overclock problem that they crash when you overclock it with the bios option.

I have it for around 2-3weeks now and never had that problem.

    Message was :

    BCP1: 0000000000000008
    BCP2: 0000000080050031
    BCP3: 00000000000406F8
    BCP4: FFFFF800030C20C6

Any ideas what this might cause? I've done some research already but couldn't find anything interesting except for the fact that zonealarm might be the problem. But why now?

    Thanks for reading

    Vincent

This kind of worries me. I should be getting my m11x tomorrow, I'm assuming with the latest drivers and bios (graphics driver, notwithstanding.) Has the laptop gotten hot at all? I once used to get blue screens on my old Asus system when the CPU fan died. I was being a cheap little 24 year old at the time, and directed a massive room fan into the side of the case when it was open. :p it worked for a while lol

Try setting the CPU to stock speed, does it still BSOD?

Just because you overclocked it for 2 weeks and it was fine doesnt mean it still is fine. The chip can deteriorate over time and what was originally a marginal chip just able to overclock perfectly becomes a chip which isnt capable of overclocking. As Bendak says try it without the overclock and dont dismiss it just because it was "working before"

Myeah... I've put it on stock speed again... But it gave a few more after that yesterday.... When I came home though it stopped, I let it play movie for the whole evening...

And uninstalled zonealarm too because I heard it gave some probs with win 7 64bit :)

I'll OC it tomorrow again if everything goes well :) thanks for the advice

Have you installed anything lately? You can try to revert to a previous restore point. Also unplug any usb devices if you have one connected.

Yeah idd, I was thinking about my sennheiser I plugged in with its external soundcard, I used that for the first time yday so... I'm not using that now. So far I didn't get any bsod yet. So I'll try to recreate the bsod situation and add piece by piece. I'll update if I know something more... But it's probably the OC. I'll activate that again tomorrow.
