Do you get any error? Or does it freeze when you open the game?

Which driver version are you running?

Try to do a clean video driver installation. You can clean up your registry to make sure your completely remove all traces of the old driver, then download and install the latest driver from nvidia.

I have an m11xr2 and its working just fine - 40-60fps, but my buddy has an r2 and its doing this exact problem - cant get to menu, freezes before it, not responding.

we updated drivers on his to the newest ones, still no go - any ideas?

The fix for me on my M14X was to force Nvidia graphics. Not sure what the M11x has but if it has switchable graphics go into Nvidia control panel and under global force it to use the Nvidia card.
