I have limited success with the built in backup and restore solution for Windows 7 Home Premium. What off the shelf backup and restore software can I buy for the M11x that works flawlessly. I would also want to find something that could backup my files on a schedule over my wireless network (similar to OSX Time Machine). Any ideas?

Although I don't own the M11x, I can highly recommend Acronis True Image. It's a bit expensive at $49.95; but for what it does I feel that's cheap. I also understand sofware made by a company callled Paragon works pretty well, but with this one I can't speak from personal experience.

Well one thing that I can recommend is a Windows Home Server. I have a HP EX485 and works great with Windows 7 and my 2 Macs with Time Machine. I also stream all my media content from there as well. Maybe not what you are looking for but defiantly an option.

I'm using Paragon Backup and Recover free edition. I use it for file backups rather than an image but I think it can do something like that too.

Acronis is on sale right now for 29.99, the "deluxe" package is +$10.

I'm going to look in to clonezilla though.

Another free option is PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost)

Thanks all! I just purchased Acronis with the Plus Pack. Hopefully it will be better than Windows 7 backup and restore!

Drive XML is free and good enough.

Windows Home Server is expensive, but it does a whole lot more than just back ups. I love my HP EX495.

Drive XML is great and is available on boot CD's etc. I havent tried it on anything newer than Vista desktop so YMMV but I suspect it to be fine.
