    Hey all

I use my R2 in my desk with the charger almost all the time. Recently, I use it in class without the charger.

The battery lasts like 4 hours in classes but, sometimes it just turns off without any warning. It only happens when I'm on battery mode..

Should I report it to Dell Tech Support or it's easy to "repair it"?

    Thanks ;)

Is it just purely random? If it happens when you bump it or something, there might be something loose. Check your power settings to see if its trying to save power by turning in it off while inactive. Then there is the possibility somethings wrong with it. You could either go to tech support or take a look at the battery to see if anything looks wrong.

    inertia sensor?

Ditto double checking the batt connection (free to check) but more than that I would use your warranty if avail.

If you ask me, your battery is dead or going to be dead soon. How old is your laptop?
Pay attention to the battery's charge rate when these crushes occur. i believe you would find that they happen roughly on the same amount of battery charge each time.
