    I just received the M11x R2 yesterday and here are my specs: i7/8gb ddr3 ram/320 gb HD/nvidia 335m.
Does anyone with the same specs know the battery life for normal usuage (browsing...Instant message....Maybe a few youtube videos) and gaming? I know for the core2duo it says that the battery life is around 6 hours and with the i5 maybe around 5...Does that mean my i7 will run at around 4 hours just doing regular tasks? So far mine has said 3 hours with full charge...Man that stinks! I hope it lasts AT LEAST 4 when I get to use the battery some more. Can anyone with the same specs tell me their experiences?

The max battery life I can squeeze is just under 5 hours. (4:30-4:50)
The major thing that people forget is turning Aero effects off, Brightness off, and Sound off.
I really need to do a proper test to get the true value of my battery life but I've yet to find a program that records that kind of data.

Aero is the glass texture in windows 7 along with the extra visual enhancements it brings. easiest way to turn it off is to right click on your desktop and choose "personalize" then choose a basic theme instead of an aero theme.

Exactly what bavman said but I would suggest having it so Aero turns off on a certain battery profile so you can have it for example when you are plugged because it is nice visually to look at (I mean I'm use to XP so I don't care for it but some can't do without)

I have an i7 r2 as well and I've managed to get my mWh to around 8k-11k when browsing the web. That would give me theoretically 5-6 hrs battery life. However, I haven't tried gaming on the battery so I'll check that out later.

quick question, I leave my laptop plugged in a lot. Is it better to unplug it when it's full and then plug it back in when it's low? I heard a lot of mixed comments on this and I don't know which is true.
