Hi guys, new member here. I was wondering if any of you could help me out here.

My M11XR2 is plugged in during the day so by the end of the night it´s charged 100%, every morning when I turn it on it shows that the battery level is 90%-96% is this drainage normal? dell just replaced my battery and charger so that is out of question, however the on site tecnitian mentioned something about the motherboard being the cause of this...

so if anyone could help me out that´d be awesome!

    thanks in advance...

May I suggest one difference in your routine. Stop charging it unless you get low on battery. Turn it off in your bios. Turn it back on when your battery is low.

    Will help battery life.

Unrelated I'm sure to your issue. But you didn't mention this. Why did you replace the battery originally? Did your original battery show the same issues?

Im wondering if its something in your mother or daughterboard that might be assembled wrong. I.E. Like a semiconductor might be a dud or missing allowing something to be slowly drawing power.

Here is an experiment. Charge the battery fully. UNPLUG IT from the motherboard for the night. Next morning, plug it back in and see if shows same issue. If still having the same issue, you have a bad battery.

Another one. Make sure to unplug the computer from the charger one night. Check again in morning. If issue gone, charger.

It's actually normal for it to discharge slightly if you unplug it overnight and have the battery left into the computer.

Up to 10% doesn't seem normal. On mine, from the few quips I have used the battery thus far. Im at 94% after two weeks owning this r3. I do have the charger off in bios though. Not sure that would make the difference? Like, maybe leaving that on leaves a semiconductor in a ready state?

thanks for the experiment it makes sense to unplug the batt when it´s charged to see if it´s batt of the MOBO... however I see that other users are experiencing the same issues... which will make it not an issue at all...

Oh and yes, alienware replaced my batt and charger because of the exact same issue... however it wasn´t solved...

10% loss is a issue, and how do you explain our results differences? 2 weeks barely any use on battery. 95% still.

That and if its normal operating procedure, why did the tech replace versus explaining wasn't a issue ( I know you want to say because they are clueless, but we cant say that for all of them).
