So i unplugged my laptop while raiding on wow just to see how long my battery would last and battery bar predicted 50 minutes while windows predicted 3 hours 14 minutes. I didn't leave it unplugged because i didnt want to dc during my raid. How come they are both so different?

The windows prediction sucks balls. There is a reason why ppl use Battery Bar instead of the windows prediction. The scenario you stated is one of them.
My batttery doesn't charge above 99% as well.

i havent fell in love with battery bar yet.

so far it seems to help me see what habits draw more power but as far as time prediction goes 75% of the time it off by a hr or so. im not sure if it needs to learn your system or somthing but the windows one seem to be more accurate at this time. i will continue to use battery bar for a while to see if it starts to act right. if not ill just uninstal it as right now its just somthing taking up resources and battery life. (ptob next to nothing but still)

BatteryBar provides an estimated time based on history, where as Windows is constantly changing based on what you're doing at the time. BatteryBar is a more stable estimate and Windows is constantly fluctuating. Both methods have their drawbacks, but generally I prefer BB.

ahhh... that make sence then. does it log power usage for the time estimate when your on AC to?

just woundering cuz i havent gamed on battery yet but ive been gaming on AC alot. im woundering if that has anything to do with the few hrs BB shorts me on the estimate.

on a full charge BB tells me i have about 4hrs left. then about an hour later says 5hrs left and stays in that area for about 2 more hrs. then after i realisticly have less than 4hrs left, it seems to be accurate.

95% of the time im on battery i use Intel Gfx so i normally get 5-8hr depending on how much the screen is on or what om doing.

BatteryBar doesn't track anything unless you're running on battery.
