    power saving = from battery
    high performance = from AC
    balanced = useless crap

gaming in something strong from battery = fail

    vorob is correct.

The power settings are what you make them.

You can create your own power setting called "Scotty, I need more power" or "transwarp conduit"

And then put every setting on, enabled, maximum.

    Make it so number one.

AC = good on high settings.
Battery = good on hi settings for a few hours.

LOL Transwarp?? That was the coolest Trek reference I've heard all day. ;) So because it's Alienware, can I put it on "assimilate" speed?

I've been looking for 10 minutes in power options. I must be blind. Is there a way to change what Battery Plan to run when you are on AC power or when you are on Battery power or must it be changed manually?

Blind people have the same rights as everyone else so here we go.

Click on the power/battery icon on the task bar or control panel and select power options.

Under the select a power plan you will see the option "Change plan settings" next to each power plan.

Click the "Change plan settings" on the power plan you wish to change.

You are presented with basic options to modify the power plan.

An the bottom of the panel for each power plan is the "Change advanced power settings"

I won't go into further details as I'm not sure this is a whined up. ;)

Now if not a whined up, .... oh dear. :)

Each plan has battery and AC power options included. Thus each plan can be used for battery and AC.

There is no plan specific to AC, nor one specific to battery.

For each plan you could have AC power setting set to max for all settings.

Just in power saver you'd set the battery setting to minimum settings, AC to max.

    Or whatever you like.

It is a manual thing, with default power plans initially set-up with default settings.

I'm sorry, my braille is not very good. ;)
