Just got my m11x today, already got two BSOD.. My NVIDIA controls can not detect my NVIDIA GPU. Is this a software related problem or is it the hardware?

You dont need to figure anything out, if your having problems straight out of the box call alienware and tell them you want a new one.

Is there anyway to wiggle a replacement out of Dell? I've been BSODing at stock now. 270.51 drivers

    Replacements from Dell are tricky.

If you have you a Dell DPA account, they'll send you a replacement by charging you for the new one, and refunding the cost as soon as they get your original back.

If you don't have a DPA account, not sure how it works.

Here's how to find out if you GPU is bad:

    1) What driver are you running?**

**The 270 drivers are weird with the implementation of a "fix" for GPU crashes.
Install a driver like 260.99 or 267.76. It may fix the issue.

    2) If the BSOD says nvlddmkm in it then its possibly the driver. If you install the older driver and it crashes then its the GPU.

So I installed 260.99 the "stable one" but games freeze where I would've got a BSOD on the 270.51, but i don't get BSOD. I can stop the application in task manager but can't start it up again. Requires shutdown to play the game again. Does freezing count as GPU crash or app crash?
