    Hey guys,

Just recently I have began to notice a high pitched scratching plastic to plastic sound coming from my fan. When I press down the w key firmly, it stops. I dont have warranty anymore, does anyone know how to fix? Thanks so much! :)

depends on what it is, might need a new fan or just grease up the old one... either way will need nearly full tear down of the laptop. could try blowing air through the rear vent (i know how it sounds) and see if it just has hard time spinning in which case probably needs some lube or if it somehow catches onto some plastic, maybe got some rubbish in there, gotta clean mine almost monthly, thanks to dust.

Have you tried to disassemble your laptop to check for any loose cables or plastic making contact with the fan?
