Ok I was running kombustor to test a new OC and during the gpu crashed. No problem, I turned it off and left it overnight and went to bed but I woke up this morning and tried again and I immediately crashed to 2d clocks. Now I have run kombustor at stock clocks and it's downclocking to 2d clocks after a few seconds!

    Ouch, tried reinstalling drivers?

If that doesn't work all i can thing of is to try to reset bios to defaults, and if that doesn't work take the laptop apart and take the battery on the motherboard off (the button one, dunno what it is called sorry) so it would fully reset all settings...

If not, i had my old 7900GS desktop card, when i overdid OC one day, it wouldn't let me OC it at all... though unplugging wouldn't help. couldn't find a fix for the desktop one.

phew i figured out the problem, the battery power somehow switched to balanced, which i dont have set to max performance for the gpu, i used high performance and all is well. I was kinda freaked out cuz when it crashed last night it was pretty bad, little dots everywhere and eventually a true BSOD.
