In the past few days I've noticed that, even while gaming playing things like 4v4 in Starcraft 2, my r2 maintains a consistent 49-54 degrees C. Both speedfan and throttlestop are reporting these temps. I just spent the last three hours playing SC2 and throttlestop is currently reporting temperatures of 51 C for the CPU and 49 C for the GPU.

I recently dusted my r2 with compressed air through the back vent which removed lots of dust, and I also have a cooling pad with a little fan for extra ventilation (I've had that for months though, and I used to see temps in the 70's after gaming). My CPU is overclocked to 150 MHz, my GPU isn't overclocked at all, and I'm using throttlestop. I live in California so it's not the result of cooler weather.

I've owned this r2 for about 15 months now and it's always had much higher temperatures. I'm certainly not complaining now; I was ecstatic when I realized how low my temperatures were so low, but it seems to good to be true. Is it possible the temperatures aren't being reported properly?

nice those temps are even lower than my r1! I did a whole dust out after seeing my temps hit 75 and after that they didnt crack 62 for a whole month. but i doubt that BOTH programs would be reporting wrongly, and dust out + cooling pad would get temps like that, congratz!

I'd say enjoy, if you recently cleaned out the vents and are using sufficient cooling, lower temps the better!
