It seems like everyone on this board has hinge problems. However, it's hard to believe 100% of m11x's have this problem.

    Anybody without hinge issues?

My m11xr1 came in last week but I'm active military so I won't see it for another week when I get back to the states. My brother already added more RAM but otherwise doesn't know much about the computer. Just concerned because by the time I get back it would be 3 weeks already so I wouldn't be able to return it if I got me a lemon

If you ordered an R3, dont worry about it. The hinge in the R3 is a different design from the R1 and R2.

If you ordered an R1 or R2, again - dont worry about it. If there is damage, you contact support as outlined in the hinge thread and it will be resolved.

As for your question - Yes. There are many who have not had any hinge problems. We have threads on this and I'm sure you can find them. My 11xR1 is still going strong and I'm really not concerned as I know if it should develop issues with the hinge, support will resolve it.

    Hope this helps.

Follow-up posts in the hinge thread please.
