Hi, I recently purchased the m11x and spent the better part of a day loading all my software, games etc. on to the machine only to find out the hdmi port was bad. I called tech support just to make sure it wasn't software related. They confirmed it was a hardware failure. The good news is I realized that the unit I bought was the R1 (got it at Best Buy), so I just returned it. I decided to try my luck again and ordered the R2 from Dell. Did anyone else have that problem or does it sound like a fluke?

My r2 works fine as well. The first thing I did when I got my m11xr2 was to check out every port on the computer :)

    good to go

You did make sure you were running on nVidia dedicated graphics when you were trying out HDMI, right? :)

Mine works fine on the R2, I guess it's just bad luck that you got a defective unit.
