Hey all, I have one big question because im really lost here.
I have my M11x r2 i7 for some time now and been thinking about OC'ing it.
Not that it can't run my games better than I expected, because it can but few badly optimised games could run at 5-10 frames more.
I really dont knOw where to start. Is there a guide of some sort here or somewhere else or something? I'm not relly new to The topic but this is my1st notebOok and im afraid that i can fry it, because it already runs pretty hot (cpu reaching 74 degrees Celsius) during gaming.

    Thanks in advance.

were you thinking of ocing the cpu or GPU? if the GPU im your man. here this is from a previous post i made:

You can also overclock the gpu too, I use msi afterburner because it's simple and easy to understand. To use it google it, download and install it. Open it up and you see 3 bars to adjust to your hearts content to overclock the gpu. I recommend 550/1350/875 for best results but it may or may not work for you, if not bring the bars down slowly 5 to 10 MHz at a time and test it. You can test it with the other program that comes with msi afterburner, it's called kombustor. Use the gpu burn in option to test your overclock. If the numbers on the right clock down to 405/324/810 or something similar, you went to far, reboot your cOmputer and try a lower overclock. Hope this helps goodluck!\

and as far as frying your m11x, 74C is average for an r2 and OCing really adds only neglegable heat so the odds of frying it are next to zero. also if you are thinking about more GPU OCing there is a GPU volt mod to get more OCing potential out of your 335m

If you want to OC the CPU, it's quite simple:

    1. Reboot
    2. During the POST, press F2 to go into Setup
    3. Go to 'Advanced' (i think that's the tab?)
    4. Go to 'CPU overclock' and where it says 'disable' select one of the frequencies (I recommend 150MHz, that's what i use)
    5. Press F10 to save and reboot
    6. Done.

I haven't noticed any temperature increases over the stock frequency -AT ALL-.

One other thing, whats the deal with disabling powermizer? Should i do it when OC'ing?
