Just a quick heads up - had some pretty bad heat issues on the GPU end of things w/ my new R3.

Hitting 92C + easily running OCT.

Now w/ the old crappy clay like paste removed and diamond 7 applied - I'm staying at about 84C. Put it on the CPU too, doesn't go above 65C. But then again it throttles itself, so not much of a test with that.

But anyways - we'll see if it gets any cooler after burn in - but at least I'm not so concerned about cooking the machine now.

I took a few pictures of dismantling the M11X if people want pics - nothing too great but can help.

weird, when gaming on my r3 my temps have never hit above 70c. Granted i've only tested league of legends and l4d2. Just sitting on a flat surface. I will download the crysis demo while im at work and see if i can get the temps to explode.

I'll post the pics when I'm home from work.

    Cool to see some interest.

Hopefully the pics turned out well.

Run OCCT for 20 minutes and let me know what temps you hit.

This is good to hear. I've got some Antec 7 left over from a previous repaste. I guess I'll try it this weekend.

I did an Antec Diamond 7 application 3 weeks ago. Immediately saw a drop of 4C over the stock wax TIM.

Sorry for the slow response on pics.

    Uploading them as we speak...

    Edit:

    Bottom panel removed
    [IMG]
This is where you pry up to gain access to the screws that allow removal of the keyboard.
Under the keyboard, the ribbon cables that need to be removed.
This connects the LCD panel. It lifts straight up by pulling it gently. No clasps or anything.
A small ribbon cable here - this controls the touchpad. Needs to be popped free.
    wifi antenna connection popped free
    [IMG]
A total of 4 screws have been removed here to allow the LCD panel to be taken out of the way

Just finished a repaste. Much easier to do then a xps 15.

cpu isn't going past 76 and gpu isn't going past 80. I've been playing crysis for an hour. This is definitely a huge improvement for me. Thanks for the idea.

I took a couple photos, while repasting. http://flic.kr/s/aHsjuEfzsv

Sorry, once I got down to the motherboard I stopped taking pictures!

Hope this set at least helps people somewhat.

Any idea what the part number on that Bluetooth module + cable is? All the Dell Wireless 375 modules on eBay appear to have very different cables.
