    Hi there,

I got my M11x R1. It is really small! I really like the size! All my laptops have been big and huge. I can pick it up with one hand. Well, the right speaker is not working. I think one of the usb port is dead too. I tried a keyboard, flash drive and bunch of other things. Nothing is recognized on that port but works on others. What would cause this?? I get random blue screens as well! I know this is an outlet product and cheap but still! All the excitement and the waiting and then! They are sending someone next week to fix this! Should I ask for a replacement or see if they can fix it?

    Thank you

Sorry to hear about it, hope everything ends up fine.

I personally believe (could be wrong) that they wouldn't give you a replacement unless they attempted to fix your laptop multiple times, and problems still arise.

I think you have ~21 days to return it if there's something wrong. If it's after the return period, they won't give you give you a replacement until they've had to send a tech out > 4 times for repairs.

Had issues with my m11xr1 refurb as soon as I received it. Called CS, talked to the supervisor. Long story short, I received another refurb m11x in the mail yesterday, except it's an r2.

Longer version of that story can be found in the "cyber monday review" thread.

I bought my r1 at launch and acquired a system replacement which most parts were doa. Including your issue with the speaker. Couldn't fix it thus I swapped the workingspeakers from my original system. Its a pretty in depth swap. Remov everything INCLUDING the mobo. If you don't want a tech digging that deep id return it.
