If your not having any problems then you not need to update your bios. What are your specs, if the spec match then your good

The 260.99 drivers (and all nvidia drivers up to this point) only officially support Optimus, so you won't be able to install them without modification. At the moment, all R1 users are restricted to the drivers that Dell releases or a custom unsupported driver (which are usually released on these forums). Just do a search.

Nvidia does not support Hybrid GFX setup. The Verde driver posted on site only supports Optimus model which is M11xR2. For Hybrid model like R1 you will need to use drivers provided by Dell.

Alternatively if you want to use a more updated one than what you can find on Dell site, you can only try the community build ones that can be found here.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...brid-drivers-intel-2020-a-10.html#post6898210 This is a modded set by the community here and not official release from neither Dell/Alienware/Nvidia. Regarding installation procedure you may want to read thru the entire thread about it.

You can still choose to install the driver from Nvidia site if you wish to. But by doing so you will have to first disable your onboard Intel GFX via your BIOS. Also doing so you will lose the capability to switch between the onboard GFX and Nvidia GPU which means you will be stuck with just Nvidia GPU alone.

The community build is the best bet you can get if you want a more updated drivers. Hope this answer your question.
