You could also get a generic car AC inverter such as this one and use the regular adapter.

Any power adapter that is at least 90W and fits a Dell laptop will do the trick for you. There are PLENTY of those out there.

Here's a fantastic charger that is also incredibly tiny. If you feel like splurging, and need car-charging capabilities, this is the one to get.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the iGO chargers... You buy the charger and it accepts various 'tips' so that you can use it with multiple devices.

"iGo" Laptop Travel Charger - iGo Green® at iGo, Inc.

This one allows you to charge off a wall outlet, car, or airplane.
Bonus, it can charge your cell phone or other small mobile device while charging your laptop.

I've owned 2 iGo AC/auto/air chargers in the past, with the multi-device charging capabilities. Both of them died within 18 months of purchasing them. I have since sworn off iGo.

Now, my experiences are entirely anecdotal. It is entirely possible that I was doing something wrong with my chargers, or that I just had bad luck and happened to own two devices that failed at about the same time. Your mileage may vary. But I thoguht it would be useful to share my iGo experiences, if you are looking at chargers.

    That's good feedback Kent.
I always kinda thought the iGos were 'too good to be true'.
But after years of using three devices without any problems I'd accepted them.

I had two of the standard laptop wall chargers at my last job - both of them were fine when I left - each had a year or two of service.

I've also had, for the last few years, a basic small cellphone/mobile device wall charger that I use to charge my iPhone, previous iPods, a PSP, Blackberry and countless other small devices. I've had no issues with this device either.

Maybe the reliability of the AC/auto/air chargers isn't as good as the more basic 'wall only' chargers I've used. They've performed well.
