    Hello,

i am looking forward to purchase this little baby. Today i saw it on the shop and i loved it.

    I know about hinge issue.

Apart from that is it worth buying it?

Should i wait for something else?

The model i am talking about is R1.

ya the guy above is mostly likely rite dont forget dell.com alienware removed the discount of the r1 lol so they will mostly likely make a better m11x than the r2 and the price of the r1 if it will still be on the market will be cheaper and the r2 also

OP, it really depends on how you would want to use it. The r1 with the Black Friday discount was perfect for my needs and price point, and I'm thrilled with it so far. Others swear by their r2.

Of course, the longer you wait, the more likely it becomes that a newer model will appear and the older models drop in price as stores try to clear old inventory. That pretty much goes for any tech...

I just want to point out than i am from Bulgaria :)

Here are no discount, every dealer want cheat you
I negotiated with one company that is DELL official dealer and after 2 days of e-mailing i got the price down by about 50-60$, the price i got this lappie at the moment is the lowest offered in the market here.

Als0 this company was kind enough to sent one m11x from their warehouse to their shop in my town. Today i saw it in live and it looks amazing i examined it a bit, but didn't turn it on.

Specs for this model are: SU4100 CPU, 4GB RAM, 320gb HDD 7.2K rpm and bluetooth module.

Price converted in $$$ is around: 946$

Don't hold your breath on a new revision unless you don't mind waiting. People have been speculating about the release of an R3 for quite some time with very little justification for it. Given that they haven't even stopped selling the R1 and that the R2 has only been around since the summer, I really wouldn't expect the R3 particularly soon...

To answer your question, it depends on whether the R1 suits your needs. There are plenty of threads detailing R1 performance in various games for you to look at. If you don't mind having to play most games on medium settings and don't play anything too CPU intensive, you should be fine with an R1.

There are also plenty of threads where this 'should I buy now' question is asked. OP, please use the forum search feature. Thanks.
