Alienware UK - No i5 with turbo boost?
Quite annoyed at this as its kinda pushing people towards the i7.
    Anyone know why?

Are we sure it doesn't have turbo boost? I recently ordered the m11x r3 with i7 and noticed the i5 had no (turbo boost) bit in the description...I thought maybe they consciously omitted it to push people towards the i7...

I thought all the second gen I CPUs from intel come with turbo boost thing? (dunno why i head people calling these second gen dual core CPU, as they are third gen DUAL CORE CPUs from intel, second gen of I3 I5 I7's)

Anyways just google the model of it and you will find a review/spec sheet of it. mines I5-2537m i assume they are using a latter one now as mine was the very first batch of R3's

I think it is like soprano said, there used to be 2 i5's to choose from the one with no turbo boost and one with it, Im guessing like soprano said they removed the turbo boost i5 to push people towards the i7.

I think what soprano is saying is that the i5 does have turbo boost but they are just not mentioning it so that the i7 looks a lot better compared to i5 than it really is.
