Greetings fellow earthlings I'm Cyril Justin Magat. I'm 12yrs old. And I got my 1st laptop for my graduation and it is the Alienware m11x. Can you guys help me to have the quick change color option when i right click the alienfx at the taskbar? My cousin has it in his m17x Alienfx. Thanks.

What do you mean by quick change? You can right click the Alienfx in the taskbar then go to "AlienFX Editor" and change it from there.

Lucky you're only 12 and got a new laptop. I had to beg since I was 12, 'till I was 18 for my 18th birthday and I finally got one. Being Asian blows

The new 'current' version of Alienware Command Center for the 11xR3, 17xR3, 14x and 18x have a 'Quick Change' function in the context menu of the AlienFX task tray icon.

If you have an M11xR1, R2 - you will not have access to this. Can you install the current version (for the new models) of CC on your older version system? I don't know. Use caution.

I don't think I can download it from the internet but I will try to find that app so that I can easily change the color of my keyboard. Anyways thanks for the help. :)

Oh boo hoo. I got my first laptop when I payed for it myself at age 32.

Seriously, though, my Quick Change option is there, but it no longer functions. If anyone knows some sort of fix, let me know. I first noticed the difference when I tried to enable iTunes support and stuff like that, but I'm not sure if it was right after that or much later.

I'll try reinstalls and let you know.

Why can't you download it? If you can't find it, we can help with that.

I had major problems when I did the HD swap between R1-R3. But I think it was because AlienFX themes count on specific hardware to be present to work. Some of the themes I downloaded require a TactX mouse, and throw me an error. But themes made for the R1 crashed the program. I'm not sure if a plain reinstall/theme deletion would have solved it because I went straight to the Dell site and grabbed the r1 version. If somebody needs, I can see if I can test that. I lent the computer to a buddy, and it takes a while.

I wrote a program to change the brightness of all the lights.
It's one way to change colours pretty quickly.
