    Hello ya'll

First off it did sound amazingly awesome when i bought my m11x, but it didn't come preloaded with aliensense, well i can't find it, hopefully i don't need to pay for it.

As i understand its a feature of the Command Center that comes with my laptop, but i don't have it there, so how do i add it to try it out?

Also, is it worth using, like how well does it work? can i use password along side it, in case it is say dark in the room? Could someone just post a quick walk-through on what i can get with the m11x? as its just power management and alienFX in command center that came pre-installed, plus respawn.

BTW i love how all the software by alienware sounds so awesome.

Open up command center, click on the AlienSense button and move the slider over to enable the facial recognition to various degrees of security. Make sure to go to advanced settings and enable the password and facial recognition.
It doesn't work very well if you're in different locations because it is really sensitive to light, meaning that it wont log you in unless the lighting is always the same.
The Alienware Command Center allows you to adjust the laptop's lights (AlienFX), adjust power settings (AlienFusion), adjust touchpad settings (AlienTouch), and enable facial recognition (AlienSense).

    Two part answer:
Thanks Ldmoose for your response. I would like to add, however, that AlienSense (and it's cousin FastAccess) are actually quite a bit more flexible than you indicate. They quite uniquely have a learning algorithm that allows it to learn how you look in MANY situations including under different lighting. Any time you log in with your Windows password when your face is visible, additional learning occurs. 100% recognition is, of course, not possible but it gets better and better with use.

un4tural - you may or may not actually have AlienSense included. It's my understanding that Dell stopped bundling AlienSense in the command center some time ago. Believe me - we wish that they would continue, but it's probably not there. The good news is that you can get a free trial of what is actually a much more current version of the exact same technology from the same company - Sensible Vision - from our website. Please feel free to contact me directly through any of the addresses on our website if you need any help with the trial.

    Thanks!

Might as well get Aliensense if they wont make me pay for it, sounds cool.

Also, Where do i find my account number, i read that its same as customer ID on invoice, but it wont let me create account using that. I just sent an angry email to DELL UK, as i spent 30minutes looking for a way to contact a human being there, and in US site the bloke in live chat told me he can't help cause I'm from UK.

Basically spent 2hours looking for my Account ID without any luck... Them customer service is worse than rumored. Get teh Mooooney and run as they say

If you have a Rev 3, YOu can install the version for Rev 2 unto it. There is a tutorial if you look around.

Personally, I found the software annoying and made start up slower.
