I just wanted to get a little advice from you guys...my R1 is still on warranty for another three weeks and recently my screen has developed a black spot on it. It is not a piece of dirt behind the plastic as I have pulled it up and tried cleaning with a Q-tip. Under a magnifier, it is six pixels that are in two rows of three and are all touching eachother. The blob is completely black. It is very noticeable when looking at a screen with lots of white. So is this considered bad enough to ask for help from Dell? Thanks!

A dead pixel is a dead pixel so there is no way of tricking it with compression to bring it back to life.
The screens are not very expensive but if it is within warranty certainly try and get a new one through Dell what have you got to lose asking?. There are usually pixel policies in place however you might not be covered but if not get a price for them to do it. My OCD would not allow a dead pixel, it would be the end of me! -
