    Hey Everyone,

I had an M11xR2 a few years back and it was the best notebook I ever owned. It traveled all around the country with me and was only sold once I finally settled down and built a desktop. Now that I'm looking at an extended period of traveling again I have placed and order for a Alienware 13 and am very excited. Unfortunately, I wanted an SSD from the start and opted for a 256 M.2 drive and it has delayed my order by a few weeks, but not having to fettle with drives when it gets to me is worth the delay. Anyway, the bottom line: since the M.2 adapter has two slots, what would happen if i just bought another M.2 SSD and plugged it in? Will the computer be able to recognize it as another drive? Will the two drives end up bottle-necking themselves? Will it even boot?

I'm hoping that their is someone on here who has either already tried to do this or is smarter than me and can inform me what would happen. Thanks in advance for your help.

The 13 would recognize the other M.2, and it'll act as another drive device (storage). That's pretty much it unless you want to do some fiddling around.

That's awesome, and make the $50 upgrade to the M.2 SSD a really good deal. Now I can pop a budget 512GB M.2 drive in there whenever my storage gets low. Thanks for the quick response.
