    Hey,
This is my first post here and I know I seem like a leech by asking a question right away, but I do need help. I'm really not familiar with laptops, well computers in general. I'm not a blundering idiot, but I've been reading a lot of stuff from this board and I don't understand a fair portion of it. Well.. Getting to my question.

I'm looking to buy an M11X, but I don't want to drop the crazy amount of money for the large SSD yet I really want one. If I got a PATA 32g hdd could I add it to the machine while still having the original hdd? I would just put things like photoshop, office and avg to make them run a hell of a lot faster. I think I'm on the right track but I'm not sure. I could definitely use some guidance :)

Edit: I think I meant mini pci-e instead of PATA?

No. The M11x is a single hard drive system only. You could remove the original hard drive and put in a new one, but you can't have two.

PATA drives are the ones with the pins on them. They are generally slower than SATA drives. All computers purchased now a days will have SATA drives. The M11x only has 1 drive bay and only supports SATA connections.
