I just got my m11x today! Brand spanking new, and I'm loving it. Just one thing I was wondering though...My friend was here with me to witness the glory of my machine's unboxing, and he told me that it's good with new electronics like laptops and ipods and such to charge it for 24 hours first, even though it's already near a full charge. He says that doing this increases battery life. I'm not sure I'm buying it though. Anyone know if charging for an extended time at first gives you better battery life in the long run?

I've never done it with any of my laptops so I can't really say whether it works or not but in my experiences I get close to manufacture specification in terms of battery life. So I mean you can do it if you want but I don't think it'll matter.

pretty sure that's not true. Batteries are made to stop charging at a certain point, so continuing on doesn't do anything. The reason for that is a higher voltage per cell results in a shorter lifespan for the battery.

Okay, thanks! He also says that cold milk gives you acne as opposed to warm milk, and that cold chicken (even if it's already cooked) has a chance of having bacteria as opposed to reheating it (as per Chinese medicine xD) so I didn't really believe him in the first place. Just want to get the most out of my battery, that's all =)
